Dell Front Door I/O Plastic Bezel/Cover --where does the spring go?

Received a new Dell desktop unit and the Front Door I/O Plastic Bezel/Cover was loose in the box and not attached. Flexing the plastic door to attach to the two connection points is easy enough, but there is a small spring that needs to attach, presumably to keep the door closed when not in use. There is a small hole on the connection point of the door itself where one end of the spring goes, but I'm not able to figure out where to attach/place the other end so that the spring will work. Suggestions welcomed.
