Dell Inspiron 1525 Display Problem

Hi
I recently got a Dell Inspiron 1525. It works perfectly wihen connected to an external monitor. But show only the upper 3" inch Display when switched to its own LCD. Does anybody has the idea as to what exactly is the problem.
