dell latitude d600

I have a dell laptop a latitude D600 and it has a hard disk password it was hit by viruses and i need to format it, it belongs to a certain chine's friend of my mine and he left the documentation in china please help

When you say HD password, do you mean that when you turn on the laptop it asks for a HD password with a long string of numbers, if so read on...

There is somewhere in here a user called Rustam, he has the one and only code generator for HD passwords, I do believe however that his inbox is full and that he no longer answers his posts.

We, me and Padtea33, ran a thread in here for a long time on this subject and all I can say is that there is only one way to get rid of the password and this involves paying a fee and getting it done online.

So unless Rustam is around i am afraid that you are stumped, if you want to pay for the online service let me know.

There is a way of blanking the drive mentioned in the thread here, using XP but it was untested fully and may not work, I cant remember where in the thread but happy hunting
