Dell PowerEdge Edge 1800: Orange Light Blinking

DELL PowerEdge Edge 1800. Windows Small Businesss Server 2003.

Orange ( Amber ) Light started blinking.

Is there an OS admin option, tool, etc.. that woud let me know why its is blinking..

The fault was either likely faulty Power Supply or less likely Motherboard issue

Is it still running, or does it hang or stop boot? Hard drive, most likely... The dell site, using that Service Tag, will get you to a selection of error messages and device control issues.
Some of the PowerEdge servers have the blinking orange on the front when power supply or hard drive are failing. What does your Device Manager report... any red or yellow flags.

I'm Glad kimsland underlined Power Supply. I've been out of battery power for 3 weeks. I just received a new hot swapable unit.

Now that the new battery is in place. I hope that the blinking amber light goes away.
