Dell Studio 1558 screen problem

i have dell studio 1558 its about 4 month.About few week ago the lower part of screen start showing some red lines now the red line become a thick black line.guys please tell me how to correct this problem??

Have you tried plugging your laptop to an external monitor to see if it does the same thing if it does it could
Mean you have trouble with your graphics chip so please check this out first then we can go from here.

ya i did with an external monitor and the output in the external screen was ok.................
i don't know what gone wrong with my screen the lower screen is death.

Have you banged your laptop at anytime could be that your screen has had slight damage has it is not your graphics chip.

Have you tried touching the screen where the line is and seeing what happens just try and slight pressure for a minute or two to see if it goes.

hey thanks for your reply as you said i touch the part of screen where the line are formed but its same
what should i do with it or just change the screen.

Yes it sounds like your screen has gone you may have to get a new screen make sure you get the correct one.
