    Hi everyone,

I have desktop.ini that is on each system folder on my computer, and I cant get head or tails of it.

Is it a virus, malware, trojan, spyware or what is it?

How can I get rid of it for good coz deleting isn't working any more.

    It's a Windows system file
    They are in all folders
Usually you do not see them

    To hide them again
Click on Folder Options in Control Panel
    Click on View tab
    Click on Restore Defaults button

    You may need to Restart
Now all the Desktop.ini are gone (well hidden anyway)

I find them nagging and I wish there was a way I could get rid of them completely.

    Thanks anyway.

    They are required

As an example, the My Music folder has a music symbol on it (ie this comes from the ini file)
