desktop: spyware infection:your computer is infected with spyware

have searched to find someone with a similar problem but no luck. The other day got the blue screen replacing my desktop saying spyware infection blah blah blah. spysheriff kept comming up so went and bought mcafee internet security and deleted all spyware and corrupted and infected files on my pc. everything works fine now cept i cant get rid of this damn blue screen on my desktop and its not lettin me change my desktop. has anyone any ideas?

Right click on the desktop select Active Desktop and un-tick 'Show Web Content'.

i cant right click on my desktop? all my icons have dissapeared now, all thats left os the blue screen. any other way to do that through the control panel? Has anyone else had this?
