Details View in XP folders won't show up

Hi all, I'm running XP, all updated and everything, but when I go to folders, view, and select details, none of the details I select show up. For example, in a folder of mp3s, I'd like to see info such as artist, album, bitrate, etc. The gray bars at the top saying "artist, album, bitrate" show up, but none of the info does. The columns all come up empty. It seems like this only applies to mp3s and .wavs and stuff---when I open a folder of photos, the dimensions, date taken, camera model, and all that other info all shows up.

Any idea where I could've gone awry? Help is muchly appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks for the input, but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem, here. Most of the mp3s have been ripped from CDs---their tags are updated and everything. I'm saying that I think I've messed up some setting such that the tag info won't show up in the explorer.

I've gone into the registry and checked to make sure that InfoTips have been enabled, but no luck. Any thoughts?
