    Hi
I'm finding it hard to find specs on the new iphone. I live in Trinidad and Tobago and I'm going to Florida soon and want to buy an Iphone 3G. Can I buy the phone and just insert my Digicel sim card. Digicel can run with any quadband like the iphone.
    Reply please!
    Thanks!

If you buy a version in the US I believe you will need to ask AT&T the unlocking code (if they're willing to provide it) in order to use it with your sim card. You can also unlock it by unofficial means but the warranty is lost when you do that.

Oh yeah I was reading this. I hate apple for doing that. And i see AT&T have upped their service plans for those who will buy the 3G. Yeah they say $199 but that plan ups the price alot! So i can't buy the phone separate from AT&T??

You can get one free of AT&T contract but it will reach $599 or $699. The iPhone in Europe is country locked though. I know that a French iPhone even if officially unlocked will not work with carriers from outside France.
