Difference between Shell and ShellEX

    Can someone explain to me the difference between the Shell and ShellEx and when to use the ContextMenuHandlers ?

    What is the difference between all these ?

    [HKCR\Folder\Shell\]
    [HKCR\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\]
    [HKCR\Directory\Shell\]
    [HKCR\Directory\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\]
