Direct3d Device Problem

I installed Neverwinter Nights 2 onto my computer, everything went smoothly until I went to run the game. I got past the start game screen and then when the window for the actual game came up, an error popped up that said "Cannot find any compatible Direct3d Devices. The application will now exit."

I'm not sure what this means. Do I have to install another driver or something?

I would assume that it can't find your 3d device or graphics card, so the first thing I would try is getting the drivers.

Right click my computer and go to property's, then the hardware tab and click device manager. Find display adapters and click the "+" beside it. It should list the model of the card and from this you can go to ATI's (Radeon) website or Nvidia's (Geforce). Remember to uninstall the old drivers first though. If that doesn't work make sure your card is compatible with the game or verify it is seated correctly on the motherboard.
