Well, I experimented with ATI Catalyst Control Center and The Sims 2' graphic settings and I came across with something. the Graphic corruption is caused by vertical synchronization, and vertical refresh rate.

How did I know? I turned ATI's Wait for Vertical Refresh to Always off, and, I can use the cheat "vsync off/on" in the Sims 2 to make the corruptions disappear.

Anyone has any suggestions...? EA isn't responding....

You know this same question seems to pop up a lot, usually with the Sims.
"Vertical Refresh to Always off" does that downgrade the performance, or does it just make everything OK ? ie is that the answer, to anyone who posts?

I don't know but when a graphical corruption occurs, I set vsync to off, and everything goes back to normal. And when another corruption occurs, I set vsync on again, and everything goes back to normal. Regarding performance, it doens't affect anything at all, except for the corruption.
