Disable SATA

  1. Hello i have a Sata dvd drive and i wish to disable it. I know you can manually unplug the cable but is there anyother way? Device Manager There is a pic of it in the device manager i am not sure which one to disable.

    in Device manager under CD\DVD rom drives your sata drive should be listed by name right click it and choose disable.

    Or, go into the bios during bootup, either f8, f12, or f1 depending on your bios company, and then go to devices, and look for yours and disable, then save and exit.

    Ok thanks ill try bot hof you guys recommedatio i didint know how to d it in the bios probly need to speed more time looking. Anyways thanks
