Disappearing MP3s...

    I'm not sure if this is the correct place for my post but I hope so...

    My computer seems to have a case of disappearing MP3's. I've noticed over the last month that I have randomly disappearing mp3 files. I do not use any P2P sites for sharing or downloading, all my mp3's are either from a cd that I've ripped to my computer or purchased from iTunes or Amazon.com and possibly a few other sites but really I'm just curious why they would be randomly disappearing and how to get them back? I run a virus scan everynight and it has never come up with anything. I use McAfee. I also have Windows XP. Hope someone can help.
