Display image in Yahoo Messenger/Yahoo Mail chat does not change

I have yahoo messenger 11.0. I tried to change my display image, it got changed in my yahoo messenger (when I open a window to chat with a friend, I see it), but people on my yahoo messenger list do not see my new display image, they can only see the old one. Also, yahoo mail chat shows the old display image. I tried uninstalling and installing yahoo messenger, but the problem remains.
