Im currently staying in a small home and the geek in me wanted to install cameras that worked well with my computer so that at any point in time I could watch what was going on around my house. I thought about using webcams because they are much cheaper and tend to come with pretty decent software. My only issue is connecting them to my computer which is approximately 30 feet from where I want to install the both of them. I havent purchased anything yet but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on making this happen.
