DNS lookup failed

Hello! I`m Redsuns and I have this Dell Inspiron 1440 Laptop.
I've been getting the "DNS lookup failed" error message constantly while using Google Chrome.
Sometimes, when refresh the webpage of Facebook or go to google homepage, this problem always happen.
What method shall I use to solve it?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you know how to access your router to configure it? If you do, I would try adding 8.8.8.8 as a secondary DNS server in the DHCP settings. Let me know if you need help with this.
 
I agree with jdillman1502, chaning your dns in your router is a good idea. many times local isps DNS servers get poisoned and can return incorrect dns results. I also want you to flush your dns cache as well. below is how to do it...

1. click start, then go to run (or windows key R on your keyboard) and type in cmd
2. this will open the command prompt window
3. type in "ipconfig/flushdns" without the quotes
4. you will get a response: "successfully flushed DNS resolver cache"
5. type exit.
6. reboot your pc.
