hi guys,

in my network, i have two windows 2003 server. in the event viewer it is showing ntds replication error. when i tried nslookup it is showing the error
"can't find server name for address 192.168.0.1.non-existent domain."

192.168.0.1 is my dc and dns server.

any help will be greatly appreciated..

thanks

hmm; better check that address. x.y.z.1 is usually the router address, or
if your server is between the ISP and your clients:
Code:
modem----win2k----one.client
then it is the address of the second NIC (which should work)

thanks jobeard for the response.

but it is not my router ip.it is my dns server's ip address which my dc also.

What are you using the other Server for? What did you change prior to this issue. Shutdown them and restart both Servers? Do you get the same issue? Are you on corp or SOHO, HO or SB domain? What does the server logs show?

thanks tipstir for the support

i have cleared the problem. i just deleted the server entry from forward lookup zone and added it again. now it is working.thanks for the support.
