Does your local network have a DNS server ? If not, you won't have any way to convert an IP adress to a computer hostname.

You can add a line in your host file ( located in %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\ ) making the link bewteen 192.168.0.1 & the computer you're trying to reach, but that will only work to convert a computer hostname to an IP adress & not the other way around.
