Does SSD overheat?

  1. I have had many laptops, most of them are Toshiba, now iam using an Hp Dv4 and it seems that the HDD heats up , the performance is affected (by overheating the processor) and its annoying. I want to replace the HDD with a SSD. I know performance will be enhanced, but I am more concerned about the heating part.

    if there is a recommended brand please tell.

    An SSD should run cooler than a normal hard drive.

    I dont think SSD's get much above room temp.
