If you were thinking about investing on a new Centrino notebook you might want to wait a couple of weeks before putting down your hard earned money. According to the Inquirer, Intel will release new frequencies of the Pentium M processor in the first week of June so price drops are expected for all current products as speedier models make it to the market.

On the 1st of June, the 1.70GHz Pentium M is slated to launch at $640, the 1.60GHz will drop to $423, the 1.60GHz will drop to $442, the 1.50GHz will fall to $295 and the 1.40GHz will fall to $261.
