  1. Hi I have a problem with the new PC I just bought. It is a compaq presario SR5605F PC. The problem is that I can't downgrade and use windows XP because the drivers for the computer don't support XP.

My question is, is there anything I can do to install windows XP and still have a working computer?

    re: compaq vs xp

your warranty may be voided with the change to xp. that being said, if you ck the compaq support site and look under the forums, go to os site and search for xp downgrade. there is plenty of info.
