    Yeah, I noticed that after posting my question. hehe Even so, I just use Crystal Disk Mark and such. It seems the main appeal of this program is not its unique functionality, but the convenience of having one neat GUI instead of 6+ freeware programs.

    Best way to determine if a particular piece of software (or a virus or adware) is seriously impacting the performance of your PC is to run these tests often so you have some idea of how fast your system should be performing and if something installed recently is slowing it down.
