Dreaded black screen pre-Windows startup

Hey,
I was running FSX on my other desktop when the power cord got pulled out, I tried starting the computer again then found myself with the dreaded black screen and I don't know what to do.
When I press the power button on the desktop, everything seems to sound normal, fan going etc but no beeps.
Monitor light stays on amber however. I've tried another monitor and still the same thing. Tried the ol' take all plugs out, re-plug, then restart but still the same thing. I've tried letting it get cold and still the same thing.
I also took the RAM out, gave it alittle clean and still no change. I've also popped in the Windows XP disk to see if that would do anything but nothing as nothing shows up on screen. Keep in mind that the black screen is constantly there, i.e no Windows start up screen or anything.
I don't know what to do!!. Can someone please help??

Windows XP
Pentium 4 HT 3.0ghz
1GB DDR ram,(4x 256mbs)
80GB sata hard drive - secondary 40gb harddrive (120gb total)
1GB AGP ATI Radeon HD3650
Olympic ATX 400W Power Supply
onboard sound
dvd rom
parellel port
3x pci slots

Pull out the memory and try booting. If you don't hear a series of long beeps the power supply or motherboard has been damaged
