Dropped HDD, now it's seized. Any ideas?

Just dropped an old HDD of mine now it make a noise like its trying to start but failing.

Do you think the platters are seized?

Any ideas?

Luckily I've made a backup, it's just a shame to see a decent hard disc wasted

It's not wasted. Open it up and get the Super Magnets out of it (I'm presuming it's not a small laptop harddrive)
