Guys, i have been having serious dsl connection problems. My modem randomly disconnects for hours. The power and ethernet lights are on but the internet and dsl lights never come on. I have tried power filtering and calling up tech support. Tech Support was no help at all. power filtering didnt fix it either. the internet goes out usually after i download something, such as a song off iTunes or watch a video on youtube. i got a new modem from earthlink but that hasnt fixed the problem either. should i just discontinue earthlink and get someone else or is the problem with my phone provider like earthlink says, which my phone provider denies. do you guys have anything troubleshooting steps?
