Dual Boot Headache

I can't boot up my system. It runs through the checks and Id's all the drives one that completes it hangs at a dead curser i.e. can;t type anything at it. With it being a dual boot system XP Pro & Vista Ultimate. Can I use a disk XP/Vista to get it into recovery mode or ever do a rollback??? I do not have the original disks only the disks for my computer.
Thanks

If the dual boot has Windows XP Pro first, and Vista Ultimate second, that is perhaps your problem.

You would likely have to set it up again from scratch, first with Vista Ultimate, but with the provision for a dual boot selected at the time of install. Then install Windows XP Pro as the second boot under the instructions that VISTA Ultimate gives you.

Of course, you cannot do anything without the original disks and product ID's, and there is no fix for your problem without them.
