    Hello,

I want to run two crt monitors from my radeon 9800pro, now as far as i know this shouldn't be a problem as the card has vga and dvi-i connectors. But, I want to run one of the monitors on an extension cable 5-7.5m, does anyone have any experience with this? Is it better to have a long 15 pin d-sub lead or a long dvi lead (with the adaptor at the end) ?
Or will the signal loss be too great ?

Any help or past experiences would be appreciated before I buy the wrong lead..Also, any recommendations for make/type of cable.

    Thankyou

You can easily connect with analog VGA. If the cable is any good you shouldn't notice any quality drops.

You need special DVI cables or a repeater to cover that distance but there won't be any quality loss sice the signal is digital.

    Thanks for the quick response.

So basically just run a longer analogue lead...I presume it's cheaper ?
