Duplicate pages

    Hi all. I hope this is the correct portion of the forum for my question...My dad is running xp on a Dell dimension 4400 and he gets duplicate pages opening. If in IE he selects a favorite, the page will open twice. Also, when he selects the email icon while off line, when it connects, there are two pages of outlook open as well. Is there a setting I am unaware of that can be changed to solve this? Does it sound like some kind of weird virus? Thank you for any input.

    Are you ABSOLUTLY certain that dad is not double-clicking?

    We dbl-clinck everything else, but single click on links :)
    (and a favorite is just another link)

    Yes. I have experienced the problem for myself and did not double click.
