  1. hello there one and all,

I want to create dvds of some home movies and want to know about some good software that will help me in this.
Some friends have suggested Daemon Tools. Are there any other good reliable programs that i should be aware of?

    Thanks

    Hi

Daemon tools isnt strictly for creating DVD's its a program that creates a virtual DVD drive on your laptop for the purpose of mounting an image onto it, this can be an image of a movie or a game etc.

To start with try explaining where the films or content are that you want to turn into a DVD, are they on Video, Camcorder, an existing AVI or MPG file.

Creating DVD's is easy but we need to know just what your starting with in order to help a bit better.

Also try doing a google on the subject.

If you have your home movies in a digital format on your computer already, I would recommend Avi2Dvd. It's freeware and I've been using it a long time now.

There are other programs which are easier to use and such, but you typically have to pay for those.
