My CD/DVD burner plays cds and dvds just fine but has stopped burning.... Whenever i attempt burning with Nero I'm asked to save an image file and when i do the burn goes really quick although i can tell the dvd drive isn't doing anything. I'm not sure if it's broken or if there's a device problem, can someone please help??

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    Just a couple of suggestions.

Uninstall your cd/dvd drive from your device manager and reboot your computer. Windows will redetect it.

Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling nero will help, or try a different burning programme.

If you still get the same results, then maybe your drive is indeed broken.

    maybe a simpler solution..
when you get up to the stage where its the 'final burn settings' or similar, check that your 'current recorder' is the name of your dvd drive (eg: Pioneer DVR-110 [CD-R/RW]) and not Image Recorder
