DVD reads in friends computer but not mine

I have a dvd which written by a friend by a friends computer. Its read in his computer, but it is not read in my computer.
When I open application, it displayed "invalid win32 application". It displayed as a DOS icon (cmd icon) .
When I open text documents, it dispaly "make sure a disk is in the drive you specified"
All the files have a error.
But all the dvd can be copy to my computer. Even though it not work.
The data in dvd is not encrypted.

If u have a idea please help me

Was the disk finalized after it was burned on your friend's computer? If it was set to multi-session when he burned it then it will only open or play on his computer until it is finalized.

Can your computer read other DVDs? Or is that the only DVD with a problem.

If not just the one DVD, download Filter Load Order Tool. Run it. Select your CD/DVD drive and click the Copy button, then paste results into next post
