ECC correctable error causing slowdown?

My search for my system slowdown goes on...I've reformatted and still get this lag that has started me looking in the direction of possible defective RAM. Ran memtest86 which said I had 2 ECC correctable errors. What does this mean?

Sorry, didn't know how to describe my mobo when starting on this forum, but if I had to guess, I'd say Bus clock 133mhz, BIOS: Phoenix 6.00 PG 4/21/05 (I get the specs for my machine from my Belarc Advisor where they call it Main Circuit Board).

    Thanks.

memtest is pretty accurate. if you got errors, the chance of you having bad ram is high.

    Ecc correctable?

Gotcha Tedster, but the word "correctable" begs the question. How can they be corrected? Does it require new RAM?
