ECS P4VMM2 Mobo Question

Oct 13, 2006
  1. Hey guys,

I have an ECS P4VMM2 motherboard, I'm not 100% sure what my AGP slot is rated for? 4x or 8x.... I just wanted to confirm with others from this board that it is one or the other.... If it is 8x this would make finding a graphics card MUCH easier :D, thx in advance

Even if you buy an 8x card, it will work in a mobo that has a 4x slot. AGP cards are backwards compatible.

EDIT: Found this site. says 4x

    And here:

The version number may be printed on the mobo itself or may be shown in the bois or when the bois is loading!!!

Nickslick74, not all x8 cards are x4 compatable, it pays to make sure that Fvc knows what agp speed the mobo is!!!
