Eee PC Orange Internet trouble

    I have an eee pc with Orange, the internet usage is going down far too quickly for what I am using. I set a limit of 100mb and it has barely lasted 30 minutes. I have another laptop on O2 mobile broadband, both doing the same internet activity. In the same time frame, the usage has gone down 30mb. What is causing this to happen?

    Laptop OS

    The laptop is running Windows 7, the basic version for netbooks
