After having problems with a ASUS board I now have a Biostar and it has only 1 EIDE plug. I have a controller card for another EIDE plug but when in the computer I get the BSOD. Take the controller card out and it works great.

Here is how I have the Drives configured-
Onboard EIDE I have the HDD set to Master and a DVD-ROM set to slave.
Off the controller card I have 1 DVD-ROM set to Master.
Should I have the HDD connected to the onboard EIDE plug by itself and the optical drives off the controller card and set to master/slave config.?

The card worked in the first configuration before. Maybe the card shot craps?

PCI IDE cards often have problems with optical drives (no ATAPI support), so yeah, try putting the DVD-ROM to the onboard controller.

You could also try disabling the onboard IDE controller in BIOS and using only the PCI card to rule out any conflicts.
