Elon Musk fires Twitter engineer for arguing with him publicly

How I see it is he admitted the problems and provided a bit of insight (probably not the most accurate from the technical perspective). Wrong or right, I believe the first step in fixing a problem is admitting it exists. The devs seem to believe it does not exist or has other causes.I did not see them point to the cause, only defending their part.
He should fix his broken/misleading autopilot, high prices for low end models, overheating infotainment systems, and prematurely dying or exploding batteries in Tesla cars first.

I think he forgot he still runs Tesla.

Don't forget power steering that occasionally takes coffee breaks while going down the road and badly fitting body panels. And the tires are just... a blast! (get it?).

Tesla continually lost money for most of its existence too despite benefiting from billions in government subsidies.
And now finally began posting profits....under the leadership of Musk. Twitter will be the same, once Musk has weeded out those who want the old unprofitable regime to remain.

I can't wait to see Musk fall on his stupid face.
It's no surprise what is happening when all Musk has done since taking over the company is this
instead of being a real leader and sitting down with employees asking the hard question - "How do we make everything about Twitter better" All we need look at, IMO, is the "Verified by Twitter (for a price)" fiasco to see where Twitter and Musk are headed. If it was Musk's intent to be even more forefront in the media, I think this has backfired since it is generating a good deal of negative press.

And yet somehow Tesla is overvalued beyond belief. It is valued at least 10x higher than what it's worth. Tesla somehow has a higher market cap than the top 10 actual car manufacturers combined. Oh they finally started posting profits? So what? After absorbing billions upon billions of government subsidies they better have started posting profits!

Typical clueless conservative response. Anything you people don't like or disagree with you immediately label as woke, virtue signaling, SJW, etc. Maybe try pulling your head out of your own a$$ for a change.
Nope. I looked at his twitter and I'm pretty confident in my assessment.

Right, right, right. It's fine for your boss to sh*t all over your work publicly and tell a bunch of nonsense lies, but don't you dare stand up for yourself and call him out or you're fired! What a fine world we live in now.
I don't think Musk called him out by name. He didn't need to reply to it at all. Now that he did everyone knows who he is....probably exactly what he wanted.

I love all the people here bovating about how terrible musk is here, forgetting that most employers (including their own) have social media policies that would allow them to fire said employees for doing this exact thing. You dont take office arguments onto social media. Period.
That also applies to execs tho.

A good boss can take public criticism... and then there's Elon.
What planet do you live on? A good employee would not have made a statement on social media like that. And a good boss would never accept being called a liar publicly that way.
Don't know how old you are but that's not the world we live in. If employees had free rein to call out their bosses on social media without repercussions it would absolutely get out of control.
And I'm not sticking up for Musk because I don't care either way but your statement is off the mark.
