I set my client's computer email account up (TalkTalk email account) and I accepted to choose the opton that configured it automatically for Windows Mail.
I have sent her a couple of test emails that she can get, but when she's clicked Reply, writes me an email, and clicks Send, I don't get any emails from her. However, it works with all the other addresses in her address book.
Windows Mail even told her that my yahoo.co.uk email address didn't exist!
Why is this?

This new Live mail is a dogs dinner in my book. It has done the same to me and refused to accept a reply to address as being valid. I think I have stopped it by disabling the security tools in the product.
Try it and see - if not it can always be put back.

Email and Webpage address validations.

An email address is like account @ service.domain.com and
a webpage address is like http:// www.domain.com / someserver_page.html

In both cases, accessing the data requires a DNS lookup for
service.domain.com or www.domain.com.

specifically in your case, yahoo.co.uk

so get a command prompt (run->cmd) and enter
nslookup yahoo.co.uk

you should get back something like
Non-authoritative answer:
Server: $the dns host name$
Address: $some dns ip address$
Name: yahoo.co.uk
Addresses: 217.12.6.29, 217.146.186.221
If not, then your DNS address is bad, has been hijacked OR your ISP has problems.

If you get back the Address line, then the only things left to validate are
  1. the Account Name on the server,
  2. the settings on your email client, and
  3. the firewall allowing port 25 for sending and ports 110,143 for receiving.
If you can send/receive to all correspondents except one, then suspect that
the address book entry is wrong. To my knowledge there is no way to block
by the account @ service.domain.com,
while blocking service.domain.com is trivial

How do I do that?

(sorry, don't know much about Vista!)

In windows live mail, go to tools > safety options and tick the top box (no automatic filtering).
Send a test mail to a friend and ask for an answer.
If this does not work, let us know?

Address unkown

I just talked her through how to do that suggestiobn, but it didn't work; it still says 'address unknown'

I can send her an email; she can read it fine, but she can't send one back

I can send her an email, but she cant send one back
