Notice I said "These are the prices on this side of the Atlantic." I left him room for premium prices in the UK. If I didn't leave enough, I apologize.

Can you recomend some fans and a 550+ power supply for £54

I can't recommend fans, since I never use extra fans, and never recommend extra fans...since again they're not necessary.
Corsair 550 is great, so is 450 as mentioned several (?) times.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303
The GSkill ripjaws with 7-8-7-24 2T and 1600 for 109 USD is really great, but it is nearly identical to the gskill's you linked to, just a tiny better, and on newegg, they are a tiny cheaper USD. If you can't find them, the gskill tridents you linked to is great too.

At that price range, the best cards are the 5770 or 5830.
For the 5830, you may want the corsair 550 instead of the 450. The OCZ 500 probably isn't suited either.

    Again, sorry no Europe links.

I don't know about European stores, so I can't tell you where to buy from, but I can throw in newegg links.

If you've decided on the 5770, then the CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
    is fine.

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM

At the price range you are asking for, the GSkill trident you linked to above is good though, these are slightly better.

ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

    Deja vu?

    hellokitty[hk]
In the uk this power supply is this around about £58-£60

Can you recomend one similiar for £40-£54
  9. hellokitty[hk] I'm a TechSpot Evangelist Posts: 4,001   +31

Ahh well then, you can go ahead and go for the corsair 400w.
  10. maltar7 Newcomer, in training Posts: 67

The corsair 400 watt looks "****" wouldent this be a better alternative OCZ Stealth stream II 500W - £47.66 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/204355

Or could you recomend a better one?
  11. hellokitty[hk] I'm a TechSpot Evangelist Posts: 4,001   +31

You could go with either, but I would hazard a guess at corsair having slightly better quality.
    Plus its cheaper o.o.

Just follow the instructions in the manuals that come with your components and you should be fine.

There are many online how-to instructions for building PCs. Google for them.
  17. maltar7 Newcomer, in training Posts: 67

I know i should be fine with the manueals, but i need some sort of guidence.
Can any give a webpage which contains usfeul informantion, or a website which has tutrials.

I learn better when i watch something actually building, rather than me trying to attemp it myself.

So if any one could some videos it would be really helpfull.

If I could build another computer, I would.

This, in all my 2000+ posts, is I think the first time someone has actually asked...i'm not sure what to tell you.

As a start, I would put on the CPU and cooler, along with your RAM on your motherboard FIRST, then stick it into the case.
