ERROR code 8878000A

Hello
When I try to listen to music on my computer, I get a Bad DirectSound Driver and I can't listen to anything. ... Error code: 8878000A . HOW to fix the error.

Control Panel> Sounds and Multimedia> AUDIO tab, and make sure that your sound card is selected in the drop-down window as the preferred device for sound playback.

try upgrade of direct-x if available, if you are on the latest, downgrade it to a previous version.
