error downloading files from internet

  1. everytime i try to download a file off of the internet i get an error that says

    "filename" cannot be downloaded "filename"

    "unexpected error occurred"

    please help me out

    currently running wireless internet
    win xp
    1.2gb ram
    80 gb hd
    amd 3200 2.0 ghz

    what browser are you using?

    have you checked your system for viri and spyware?

    is your signal strong?

    are you authorized to download stuff onto that particular system - do you have admin rights?

    internet explorer 7 no virus and the link is very strong

    if I'm not mistaken, IE7 is beta. go back to IE6 or try another browser like mozilla, or firefox, or another...

    same thing this time it said the filename could not be read

    the file downloads to a certain percentage and then freezes and stops

    "file could not be saved because the source file could not be read"
