My dell 4700 will nolonger boot up I end up with this message. error load needed DLLs for kernel
I have been through the boards on here and they all say that you can sort this out with the windows disc but this will not work.
I do an F12 at the splash screen and choose boot from cd or usb.
The disc starts to load but then stops and gives me error code 7
Please help

Is the CD OK? No scratches or suchlike?

Could it be that your laptop is overheating? Does it get hotter than usual?

Maybe you stumbled on something on these boards saying that you should test your system RAM? Do that please. It can be very frustrating when you think you are solving a software issue and then finally find out it was failed hardware all along.

I removed my extra gig of ram that I fitted a month ago. Problem solved pc boots up fine now.
