Error on windows xp, help please

By jamie.benstead

  1. I have a question about my pc, whenever I try to play older games or do so things like install drivers for old printers or so on I sometimes get a message come up that says: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application.

The 2 options it gives me are close and ignore, but when I click ignore the same message comes up so I have to click close. Anyways how can I sort this problem out? thanks...
