Error then no error

Have been getting BSOD's and was told looking up what info I got from the dump file to look at the memory first. Ran Memtest86 and got an error first time out now I have done further test with no errors. I am now running individual sticks now, so far with no errors. Not sure what this indicates or how to proceed.

Thanks, Bob

hi arbutus

Test each stick of RAM individually with memtest... sometimes only one stick is affected and the rest will still work. If you received the error on one specific stick, then that stick needs to be replaced. If the others are working fine, you can use them without any worries.

Thank you

Thanks for your input, big help. So I guess the error that I got the first time might not always show up in each run of memtest thus the reason for running it 7 times for each stick. Is there anywhere I can go to get more info about the error report and what the individual items mean?

Thanks, Bob
