Error when Burning using Nero 7.7.5.1

I've had one successful attempt at burning a DVD out of about 10 tries. I am trying to make copies of my DVD's and this is the log from Nero:

What type of DVD are you trying to burn? A store bought movie or a home-made collection? What is the make, type (-R, +R) and speed of your blank DVD's

Try dropping your write speed down a notch, usually does the trick.

Do you use StartSmart.? It makes this very easy.
Read your DVD burner manual for help and compatible discs.
Some won't work.Buy what they recommend.

I'm trying to make some copies of my dvd's that i own and some of them are burnt movies. I have dvd-r recordable disks, 16x, 4.7gb at 120 min. one dvd has worked so far but that was with a store bought dvd. even if i try to do other store bought dvds they dont work so i dont understand why one of them worked. and i've tried using smartstart on my computer but for some reason it wont work so i just use the original program.

and yes i did accidentally post into polsantos' thread yesterday by mistake so made my own.

anyways please help!

Download DVD Shrink 3.2 and install it... Next, download and install DVD Decrypter. Insert the DVD to be copied. Open DVD Shrink and Open Disc. Point the program to the DVD drive that contains the DVD to be copied. Select it... When DVD Shrink finishes the analyzing, select Backup. A box will appear with a drop down box. You will have an option like "Burn an ISO file using DVD Decrypter", use this. Don't select Burn using Nero.

You will not use Nero again for DVD burning

All Movies and data on a dvd are burned somewhere.It's makeing a copy that
seems to be your problem.You say 1 worked,so buy some more of that brand.
or Maxell is a good choice to try.
Otherwise your just not going about this right.
Do some test burns that don't waste a disk till you get positive results.
Post error messages.

it's not the blank dvd's that aren't working i don't think. i have only tried using one type but i don't think that's the problem since it's worked once already.

i tried doing test burns and they said they worked but then i run it and get the error(s) i first posted.

Sorry can't help w/problem but just fyi for u and other readers

I've been using NTI CD&DVD Maker Platinum for about 1 1/2 - 2 years. Only had a problem with 1 CD i burned and even that was due to something else going on in the computer. I find it an easy UI as well.
