Error when open a file in illustrator cs2

When open a file that is worked for 2 days, the illustrator show an error box:
Can't open the illustration. Could not complete the requested operation.

Then the opened file has only a blank layer.

Are you clicking the file to open it or are you in the software and trying to open it from the recent items menu?
If it's the former, try checking your default program settings. The file could also just be corrupted, do you have other iterations of it through the design process? If so, try one of the older versions.
