evga 6600 256 PCI-E and im buying it off of a friend but i was just woundering is this a good video card like for games i have a giga byte mobo 2.8 p4 800fsb i want to be able to play far cry, doom 3 ect... just woundering if this setup would do the job thanx

It should definatly do the trick, I think it would do the job even on full graphics for those games. Of course it would depend on things like your chipset, and amount of ram u have. I run something compareable, radeon 9600 pro 256 mb, AMD 64 3200+ 2.2 ghz, 1 gig of ram with an Nforce3. It can run these games perfect.

If your worried about playing full performance, just buy a bit of an older game first, to make sure it runs well. Like Bf1942, call of duty ect..

If they run to your standards go ahead and get doom3, farcry, or halflife2.

2.8 @ 3.2 512 pc333 im only building the computer for games i have another one and i hope i dont pay all this money to be dissapointed

yes, for sure. If you have 512 pc 333, go ahead buy a good game man. the chance that it woulnt run good on that comp is like 1%
