I need help. I've gone through as much as I can.
I have a Western Digital External Hard Drive. It is not being recognized in My Computer. I've gone to Disk Management and I see it there as Disk 1-cant change drive letter. Its asking to be initialized but of course will not initialize. And because it wont initialize , there is no partition.
I have tried using data recovery software to see if I could recovery my data at least so I can transfer it to my computer but of course there isn't a drive letter for me to do that (or maybe I have been using the wrong program-Recuvam, TestDisk, and Asoftech). I figured I could recover the data and reformat it someway but I'm stuck.
I have a Windows 7 computer. Also my western digital external hard drive is showing up in the device manager and even in my devices. So I feel like my computer must recognize it in some type of way.
Is there anything anyone can help me do?
