External Raid5 Enclosure

  1. Hello,

I have been investigating this and i need to know if anybody has any ideas for this. I have a lot of data that i would like to backup and make redundant. But i want it to be in some kind of external enclosure so that i can take it from computer to computer if needed. Basically i would like an external raid 5 enclosure with the raid hardware built into the enclosure so wherever i took the enclosure, the data would be in the raid5 array already.

    Thoughts, ideas?

    Thanks,
    Ray

moving raid from system to system is taking a big chance -- the config of the
raid support would need to be identical.

using the external, say USB 600gb, would be fine -- I've done that.
