    Uh, use some commen sence.

No point in o/c'ing for CPU only for a few minz. Not to mention hes going to lan parties. No point in bringing up LN2 cuz thats out of the question for pretty obvious reasons

I don't know of any heatsinks that make noise.

"Water cooling is silent" - sorta, cuz u got a fan or two cooling the radiator ;) But normally 120mm fans arnt too loud :)

As do I. I use them myself in all systems that I build, unless I have a reason to do otherwise. One drawback is the price.

Also they have the Thermaltake SLK-900A available now. Which doesn't need to be screwed into the motherboard but instead works just like most heatsinks. They are the same price as the 900U though. The 900A also is designed to fit the motherboards that the 900U would not fit.

Thats not really exteam cooling tho ;) Nor will he reach what he wants with that HS either. Not to mention, if he even wanted to come close, he'd need a very powerful, yet noisy fan.

They also released the SLK947 recently.

Dantrag, what did you finally do with your system?

I can tell I have a Athlon XP2000+ running @ 2.4 GHz totally stable even leaving it days on without turning off.

I'm using a Thermaltake Volcano 11 Xaser Edition and I have 5 extra fans at 3600 RPM in the case (2 in side panel blowing in, 2 on the top blowing air out, 1 in the back of the case blowing out. plus the psu's 2 fan, ennermax truepower 480W). It's quite noisy, but I keep 37ºc cpu and 34ºc the case. Ambient temperature in the room is normally around 27ºc in the day, sometimes 22 when i plug air conditioning.

I think that you should go with conventional air cooling, moving a computer with a water cooling solution inside doesn't seem to good for me...
